Sensei Frank Seinsheimer III holds black belts in Japanese Jujitsu, Tae Kwon Do, and Aikido. He has thirty years of martial arts training experience. Frank's passion for improving physical fitness, proper technique, and continually developing balance is apparent in every class. He is the author of "Unarmed Defense Against Weapons," a retired orthopedic hand surgeon, an Eagle Scout, and resides in Bethesda, Maryland.
Jim Roy has been involved in martial arts his entire life. Jim hold a black belt in Japanese Jujitsu and a blue belt in Karate. As a teenager, he developed skills in boxing. Jim focuses on developing physical fitness, teaching the significance of proper techniques, and training students to be well-rounded martial artists. Jim is an Eagle Scout, has completed five marathons, is the father of two sons, and is a Realtor and Chevy Chase, resident.
Together, Frank and Jim focus on teaching simple, practical, user-friendly self-defense techniques effective in confrontations. While de-escalation is always the first objective, it is sometimes impossible.
Current and past students have included law enforcement personnel, veterans, and men and women from all walks of life. Students 16+ are welcome. We find some of our techniques are not suitable to younger children. Some students have years of martial arts experience, and others have not had any experience. All are welcome.
